Grindelwald

Deciding we would love to see the Eiger and spend the rest of our time hiking we set up in the breath taking Grindelwald Valley. We took the worlds weirdest steepest train up to the Eiger, occasionally stopping to take in the views and chase a cow off the track. We got off just before it reached the top of Europe, Jungfraujoch, and walked down to the valley via the Eiger.

The Italian Wedding

After heading home and surprising the parents for Christmas, Ivan ended up in storage.
Hannah and Andy gave us the perfect excuse to blow the cobwebs off when they decided to get married in the beautiful Val Masino.

Our three week mini road trip began with the baking of the wedding cake… in the campervan. After two days in a sweltering Ivan being harassed by wasps the cake was finished. I celebrated the completion a bit too heavily, leaving me hanging and t-total!!

but still not too shabby for a campervan cake.
